30/03/06 – Work In Progress
The bodywork has arrived, the Ohlins springs and 20mm fork kits have arrived and been fitted along with the Ohlins rear shock. It’s only a pre-production shock as the factory hasn’t begun to make the customer kit yet. The exhaust is somewhere between the UK and Italy so the bike has yet to be set up on the dyno.
A quick trip to Cadwell Park shows promise but is cut short after a couple of sessions when the bike loses power. Turns out the valve in the exhaust is flapping around and getting stuck after we removed the control cables as part of the preparation. At least it runs and the exhaust should arrive any day. Just as well as we are off to Valencia for testing in under two weeks.
